Grey Marker has spent more than 35 years in construction, working his way up from summer internships on job sites to leading one of South Florida's top firms. After earning his degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida, he began his career at Miller Construction, working in the business in positions ranging from estimator to project manager and eventually director of business development.
In 2001, Grey and his wife, Peggy, founded Marker Construction Group with a simple idea; to combine their industry experience with a personal, hands-on approach. Over the past 25 years, The Marker Group has built lasting relationships with architects, subcontractors, and suppliers across South Florida, ensuring every project is done to the highest standard, with the very best craftsmen and partners.
Grey is passionate about the fast evolving world of construction. He also plays an active role in shaping the industry. Grey is serving his second term as a governor-appointed commissioner on the Florida State Building Commission and participates in multiple professional associations. Grey believes in paying it forward. Through Marker, he's supported organizations like The Humane Society of Broward County, 4Kids of South Florida, where Marker donated the treasure and talent to build a home for young expectant mothers.
Peggy Hogan Marker has spent more than 30 years in the construction industry, and there are few corners of it she hasn't touched. She's worked on everything from ground-up development and large-scale projects to negotiating leases for shopping centers, mixed-use spaces, residential buildings and restoration and ground up construction.
Her leadership has earned her recognition from the South Florida Business Journal as one of the "Most Influential Business Women" and among the "Top 250 Power Leaders," as well as GlobeSt's "Women of Influence." She's also been featured in outlets like the Miami Herald and The Real Deal and has shared her expertise on Fox Business and Bloomberg News.
Peggy is just as passionate about community work as she is about construction. She currently serves as an appointee on the Historic Preservation Board of West Palm Beach and the board of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art where she volunteers her time as the chair of the Education Committee for the state of Florida. She has served on the boards of The Community Foundation of Broward, Huizenga Park, and PAWS South Florida Rescue, The Heart Gallery, The Museum of Discovery & Science, while also supporting causes ranging from foster care and recovery programs to animal rescue and children's health.
